nor do i believe self-sustaining is remotely possible. We would constantly have to use earth labor and earth materials to keep our earth-simulation on mars remotely habitable
its not dissimilar to my fire analogy. we could build suits and such that allow a few people to "live" in raging fire. We just have to constantly use resources from the non-fire world to keep up some proximation of non-fire conditions for those who, retardedly, are living in fire |

i just think we may have actually hit a ceiling. kind of sad to be among the generations alive at that moment, but this is probably just about as far as we get. there's no more leveling up. |
