Now, they are clearly not actually immortal. But both Biblical and circumstantial evidence suggest they can live from four to five hundred years. The Old Testament is full of stories of lives this long. See Job, Methuselah, Lazarus, Noah, and many more.
Unmoved by Biblical stories? Consider how easy it would be to become truly rich over such a long life through the power of compound interest. No special intelligence or skill is required, simply stock accumulated funds away at 3-4% interest and it really starts to snowball after a couple hundred years. Furthermore, consider how experience can easily exploit and take advantage of youth and naïveté. And I won’t even comment on stem cells and adrenochrome.
Can I prove that Jews start new lives in new cities after burying earlier identities, shapeshifting across the centuries like Leland Gaunt in Needful Things? No. Not yet. But how much more likely is it that Harvey Weinstein is 371 instead of 71? There is a reason Hollywood propaganda looks so much like Weimar propaganda. How much more likely is it that Jeffrey Epstein is selling insurance derivatives in Antwerp than dead by his own hand in a federal prison’s suicide watch cell? |
