I am placed with people whom I don't work with or interact with, my entire team is still remote searching for offices. I was so lonely and confused. I don't know how I can do this and the toll it is taking on my mental health. I need the job, but this is absolutely torture. I wish I could volunteer to be RIF'd. The DRP has too many loopholes and loss of protections, it scares me.

My cozy house that I work so hard to pay for. I miss extra time with my kid. I miss not being absolutely burnt out by 6pm by the traffic and the draining ordeal of interacting with people all day and having no energy left to be fully present in the evening. I'm just exhausted.

I had a full meltdown in front of my boss - totally embarrassing - but even she was understanding. Some people do settle in and open up, others take time - and genuinely some days are better than others. I am one of those people who took months to settle in and open up. Give yourself and the other folks in your office some grace.
I wish I had better news. Hang in there.
