ITT: Part I of my LOVECRAFTIAN IFNB STORY

We do not know these places, and thus we fear them, and even the smallest hamlet claims the most ghastly history of weird incidents and unnatural crimes for the environs outside the sight of torch or lamp. We are accustomed to think of cities as modern and civilized, yet a look through the most basic man's library will tell you otherwise. From the unspeakable atrocities of Sodom and Gomorrah, to the strange wonders collected, and stranger rites practiced, in the great Hindoo cities—from the mysteries of Makkah, which remain shrouded to the modern world, to the phantastic sacrifices in the great Aztec temples—the city is not the familiar home we believe. Even on the shores of the New World, much remains hidden behind curtain and bolt which man has scarcely begun to dream of—as I can now attest.
It was the summer of 192-, and I was visiting an eminent physician, a close friend of mine from college days, at his family estate outside Providence. As he had to attend to a patient one day, I decided to take myself into the city and see what diversions I could find for the afternoon. I soon exhausted the meagre pleasures to be had in the book-stores; there were very few volumes of esoterica (a current passion of mine) to be found, although among the copies of the Golden Bough and I Ching I did locate a handsomely bound, albeit heavily expurgated, copy of Dr. Murray's The Witch-Cult In Western Europe. Undaunted, I prowled on through the back alleys, eager for some novelty, and then I saw it. Amongst the trash-heaps and rat warrens of the backside of the city was a large building of enormous size and unusual splendor for this twilight side of Providence. Moreover, the establishment's facade was, curiously, facing into the alley, not out on the street.
Yet more immediately striking were the sculptures, on either side of the stairs leading into this building of mystery, which were chiseled as the gods of antiquity but which--
At this juncture, I believe, the reader must be warned. The remainder of this tale will traffic in matters unspoken, tales never whispered even in the strictest of confidences. It deals, in short, with that which the delicate and innocent decry as obscene. Oh, lucky ones, who know so little of the world as to be able to hold to such moral absolutes!
The sculptures were, as I have said, beautifully chiseled mountains of muscle, cascading upon each other. But what drew the idea were the giant cyclopean members of these statues, undulating monsters which coiled upon themselves and then sprang upward, showering the marble with their ancient dew.
I gasped...but was compelled to know more. Some eldritch feeling stirred within me, COMMANDING my RESPECT. I strode up the stairs and rapped upon the door.

Again, even now I shudder at the thought of exposing my mind again to the things I have seen, things which society has not even condemned for to think them would be to traffic in the deepest iniquities. Again, I am thankful that my peculiar tastes prepared me for much that is rightly left unknown in this world, and so I was able to handle the initial strain without snapping.
The fact of the matter is, the man was entirely nude, and protruding from his waist was a glistening ebony rod, some 7 or 8 inches in length. I had of course heard rumors of the prodigious size of the African member, and had seen (for who has not at least some curiosity regarding such matters) the illustrations in Pigafetta's Regnum Congo, but had dismissed it as lewd fantasy. Now, though, the truth of the matter was staring me in the face—I was eye to eye with this thick black snake.
At this point, I should have run from this place, attributed the incident to the summer heat or the vagaries of undercooked seafood, and never looked back. Yet again, that same urge ROSE deep inside of me, PENETRATING to my core, and I entered the vestibule.
“Sorry sir,” the man said. “But you must remove your clothing to enter the Silver Stimstick Lodge.” I had no intention of doing so, of course—there are limits to which even the most open-minded student of the human condition and its mysteries dare not go, and I had hit up against one. Still, my curiosity (and perhaps, another, deeper, yearning) THRUST a question from my lips. “Can you at least explain this place?” I asked. “Why must you be nude? Are you a servant?” “I am, sir,” he replied with a bow. “I am a training twink for the Lodge—I live to SERVE and SERVICE superior men here.”
“Superior men? You mean, your betters of the white race?”
He grinned, looking upon me as though laughing at a secret joke. “Oh no sir. It's a different kind of DOMINANCE.”
I was about to ask him to explain when the curtain before which he stood came open with a jerk. A hideous, be-muscled arm, glistening with sweat and some other dripping fluid, grabbed my interlocutor and jerked the imposing specimen backwards as though he were nothing but a tiny fish GOBBLED UP on a great ocean by some unknown leviathan below. Yet as the black man vanished into the inner chamber, I saw on his eyes not terror, but ecstasy and gratitude.
I turned and ran.
