pro-Palestine people overlook or downplay the precariousness of israel's geopolitical/military/cultural situation and exactly how difficult it was to get a jewish state to exist with security in the region. israel is also not a bad steward of the land, especially compared to their regional neighbors, although i will personally allow for some of the anti-colonial arguments against this idea's (use-value) fundaments despite not agreeing with them myself
pro-israel people won't even touch the well documented notion that hamas was a mossad/shin bet invention (as a preferable and more docile alternative to the radical and 2nd world supported PLO) and that there's good evidence that the attacks were, at the very least, known about in advance. i think it goes much deeper than that but we can start there
