Do these still exist? They're going to get replaced by AI very soon if they do.

Yeah theyre done outside of government jobs. I recently met with a judge whose staff attorney was out of town. I showed him how Claude can just spit out orders in seconds. He had all his staff attorney’s work for the week done in like 15 minutes. He looked like someone had shown him God.

I like Claude and Gemini for legal. And I let NotebookLM sort through discovery too.

For prompts just give it as much info as you can and ask it for everything you want including explaining everything to you, like: “I’m a lawyer for the plaintiff in x county in x state before judge x, detailed description of case, analyze strengths and weaknesses of x and write me a motion for x. Identify potential counterarguments. Summarize recent developments in case law. Explain every step and why it’s important.”

damn, and it adds case citations, etc?

i wonder what datasets they trained this on, seems like this could kill the need for lexis, westlaw, etc

Which firm? The firms with a few them pay $150 and up. The firms with tons of them pay less.
