  there is an earlier iceman cometh version for TV from the 60's, but it looked more sedate from what i saw.
  
  the mourning becomes electra film from the late-40's was okay.  long day's journey into night from the 60's, too.  
  
  i still don't think the EO'NCU beats out the Ernest Hemingway cinematic universe, but it's not bad.
