As adjudicated, the runner was out on the interference (intent is irrelevant), and the batter was out on the infield fly. Alternatively, the batter was put out, if the interference is enforced immediately, thus negating a condition precedent (less than two outs) required for infield fly.
This is the majesty of the Official Rules.
