That is, I knew Trump was a bum, but I hoped he would continue his good results on the border and no new wars. I used his first term as what I still believe to be good reason to make the bet. I hoped he would also try to drive a meaningful amount of reindustrialization and infrastructure spending, but that was hope-based moreso than evidence-based
I lost the bet and own that. I want to see as many people as can be shown to be corrupt to be jailed (him, his family, much of Capitol Hill, etc.). I want that to continue for every session of Congress and for every administration going forward |

"I made a bad judgment call" is generally something more apology-worthy anyway than "someone tricked me"
I've also seen people interpret the discussion about assassination as indicative that he thinks it was all fake. I don't interpret it that way. I think the question is whether those incidents showed Trump who has the real power and explain why he's rejected essentially his entire platform |
