Entry level corporate stuff is paint by numbers imo, it’s just like “holy shit he showed up, mission accomplished.” Everything is designed so a Woman/URM can do it bc that’s who they want doing it.
The most ruinous positions are the Gen Xers who have to do everything imo, like it’s basically hell trying to hold the center.

the ceo has to prance and dance for investors about their advanced business solutions, travel to third-tier cities to represent the company at gay industry conferences, be on call 24/7 to handle possible high-profile emergencies, speak in gay platitudes about how bright the future is even as shit is obviously hitting the fan. your entire being becomes immediately identifiable as the cucked face of bigetch inc. it is self-evidently a position for those who have little to no self-respect and no desire to assert themselves or become themselves in the world outside of hawking their SaaS innovations to mutual fund portfolio managers, or saying obviously fake and retarded and humiliating shit on mad money.
(the exception in some cases is founders who build things from the ground up. but even then not in every case.)
neither of these lives is enviable but at least the former can retain their dignity and humanity if they have any, and if they choose to do so. |
