Date: August 1st, 2021 7:50 AM Author: Mind-boggling piazza dragon Hmmmmm, I can’t think of anything specific at the moment, but the thing I love about airports is that they’re kind of a throwback to public spaces of old in a lot of ways, when basic decorum was required - similar to Disneyland in that regard.
Which means that you can’t really go wrong daydreaming or browsing at gift shops, or downloading Brian Eno’s Music for Airports ambient album, or all 3! |

Date: August 1st, 2021 8:03 AM Author: Mind-boggling piazza dragon One of life’s simple pleasures, I’ve found, is listening to music on cheap earbuds bought at a newsstand, while in an airport or shopping mall kind of place, and letting the soft music blend in with the public ambience, as Eno (and his autoadmit son, Phillip Eno) excels at.
Either way, browsing the newsstand in a chill environment: you really can’t go wrong - and it’s nice to have a good reason to just browse with no real goal in mind, in a place where that’s the norm, a semi-vacation atmosphere. |
