re-speced to a lillith build and realized barb has maybe 2 decent builds:
upheaval HOTA/death blow
basically my original build: frenzy+whirlwind+rend was completely GARBAGE. upheaval one shots mobs, 5 shots bosses
entire skills table needs to be reworked so frenzy and more close quarters skills has greater cc
barbarian is actually fun as fuck to play if you take the time to re-spec. next season should have build slots so you dont have to reset your entire paragon and skills

juggy aspect no longer necessary, as armor is capped out at 9-10k, better to cap with temper
tempering is 180 as fuck. but bricking is REAL.
basically itemization comes down to: getting as many greater affixes items as you can, temper without bricking, THEN masterwork
basically makes you minmax the fuck out of everything, which is i guess a sort of "endgame", which is a much better alternative to the insufferable uber duriel grind
havent done the pit yet - waiting to max out items first before attempting
all in all, my barb is at like 87 and these last levels are getting super grindy. gonna max out and then tinker with masterworking a bit and call it quits soon thereafter. this actually might be the beginning of a D4 renaissance |

barb, as always, gets massive power level boost from the board, then after that its minmaxing until you cop DAT mythic/uber + 4 GA and the same old grind it seems
current build - whirldust doesnt depend on any mythics or ubers so i think im finished with this season once my paragon is maxed out
all in all, a pretty decent season with some QoL improvements from the previous season but definitely NOT WORTH shelling out for the expansion until a holiday season discount imo |
