Binoche is a far-left lunatic. She's like a turbo socialist who believes in some weird form of alt-marxism. Good luck!
She told the newspaper of record that she personally aids migrants. LOL

The first half of the movie is incredible and probably the most intimate and believable on screen romance ever captured.
The second half of the movie largely blows. It was based on a book that was too complicated and could never be fit into a feature film. They should have cut out more of the book and just rolled with it. If the ending had been better the movie would be ten times more famous.
It's definitely worth watching just to sob uncontrollably at the fated love story.

The elites are literally just upjumped mediocrities. They hide behind institutions because they're not elite. There's some things you just can't teach like taste in art. It doesn't mean there isn't room for subjectivity but some people just have the niaque.
It's funny because in sports no one has any qualms weeding out the weak and promoting those who can. If you suck you suck and no one has an agenda about it. But when it comes to art there's so much room for opinion and some asshole executive can easily kill all creativity in favor of wokeism or slop and just say the way it was done before was Wrong and here are the new rules.
Unfortunately we don't have the same ecosystem that once brought geniuses to the fore. Hence everything being fake and gay and the promotion of rap music no one wants.
At the end of the day some people can hit a curve ball and some people can't. Those who can't we call them academics.
