So if you have a Fidelity account, you can tell Fidelity hey I'd like 100 shares of the SpaceX ipo, which they may be able to secure for you at the ipo price, which is set to be $135 per share.
the ipo is reported as being 4x "oversubscribed"- meaning people are asking for way more shares already than are being offered at ipo. so if you asked for 100 shares you probably wont get that many- and when actual trading goes live, it appears there will be huge demand to buy immediately. the price will likely pump- then what happens next (moon mission, or dump by the early investors) is anyone's guess |

If there is too much demand shouldn't that be reflected and accommodated within the price? Like the value of the share increases. I'm sure I'm misunderstanding some key element here...But anyways...
I have a fidelity account and I just tell them when the IPO hits please eg buy $50k of SpaceX. Maybe they give me $20k after the rationing. |

Otherwise, I think you'd want to go into your brokerage account tomorrow pre-market and submit your order. It will auto-execute when the market opens (if a market order) or if the price is low enough (for a limit order)
Let us know if you do a market order at open. Really curious what pricing will look like for those who go that route |
