Complaint for Harassment and Abuse of Process

UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK

JOHN BARRON, Plaintiff, Case No.: 26-CV-0211

v. COMPLAINT

JOHN DOE, d/b/a "Covid was a Hoax," Defendant. JURY TRIAL DEMANDED

I. Parties

Plaintiff John Barron is an individual and resident of Palm Beach, Florida.

Defendant, whose legal identity is currently unknown, is a user of the website xoxohth.com (hereinafter "the Platform") operating under the pseudonym "Covid was a Hoax."

II. Jurisdiction and Venue

This Court has subject matter jurisdiction pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1332, as there is diversity of citizenship and the matter in controversy exceeds $75,000.

Venue is proper in the Southern District of New York under 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b) as the Platform is a widely accessed digital forum that conducts business and impacts individuals within this district.

III. Factual Allegations

On February 11, 2026, at 7:09 PM, Defendant published a public statement on the Platform: "nothing can wipe out lawmaxxing."

The Platform, xoxohth.com, is an anonymous message board frequently used by members of the legal profession to discuss litigation, law school, and legal strategy.

The term "lawmaxxing" is a colloquialism within digital subcultures referring to the aggressive or exhaustive utilization of legal procedures to achieve a desired social or professional result.

Plaintiff alleges that the publication of this statement on a legal-centric forum constitutes a call to action for users to engage in coordinated legal harassment against the Plaintiff.

Defendant’s username, "Covid was a Hoax," indicates a history of disseminating contrarian viewpoints, suggesting the post was intended to incite disruption.

IV. Cause of Action: Tortious Interference

Plaintiff incorporates the allegations in paragraphs 1 through 9.

Defendant’s public advocacy for "lawmaxxing" on a legal industry forum is an intentional effort to interfere with Plaintiff's legal interests and professional reputation.

Plaintiff has incurred and will continue to incur damages, including legal fees and reputational harm, as a direct result of these communications.

V. Prayer for Relief

Plaintiff requests the following:

Entry of a preliminary and permanent injunction restraining Defendant from further communications inciting legal action against the Plaintiff on the Platform.

Award of compensatory damages in an amount to be determined at trial.

Award of costs and reasonable attorney's fees.

Dated: February 11, 2026

Signed: /s/ [Counsel Name], Attorney for Plaintiff

I understand the trauma response/learned helplessness that causes you and others our age to see it this way, but it’s very possible, even more likely than not, that this is the opposite, and we should embrace it as such. Ie the actual boomer ie 62+ year old white collar professional who can credibly present himself as able to keep up with this is such a vanishingly small less than 5% of the boomer power structure in Corporate America that we can safely ignore and/or co-opt and absorb it. The companies themselves who are driving this are effectively led and powered by Xennials and Millennials. We may need to use a ladder pull up initial step to consolidate our power play before directly attacking the boomers, but it is simple enough to threaten the boomers if they refuse to leave (ie the same thing they did to their elders in the 90s/00s using productivity gains from PC adoption and the early internet). More often than not the process of pushing them out is as simple as allying with the external consultants who are tasked with implementation, making sure the benchmarks in early phases are achievable, and then threatening to leave/getting offers from competitors if and when the entrenched boomers refuse to retire and/or try to cast the work of adoption as a specialist niche v the key strategic lever that should determine the makeup of future leadership. The next 5 years should be the great boomer corporate reckoning if our Gen can manage to pull ourselves away from screen addiction to bother to try at all at this for as little as 30-60 minute sessions 2-3 times a week.

I poked around about this on reddit about a month ago. 10+ years ago you were able to land a job pretty easily with just a BS in CS. According to reddit, today you need to do internships every single summer and spam your resume everywhere because the odds of just getting an interview are very slim. So it's becoming like any other shit job.

CS is fucked but pretty much everything within a decade except some outliers like CEO, sex worker, etc. AI, self-driving vehicles and AI-controlled robots means that you don't need people to bag groceries, run a store, stock shelves, deliver anything, code, sell stuff, etc. Corps will be a few execs and strategy people, a few lawyers, some people that do infosec and comms, and that's about it.

It would almost be not that big of a deal if it ONLY applied to software development. but whats wild is that it applies to software development, and this is one of those areas where it has already FAR EXCEEDED even the best humans. But it applies even more to other intellectual areas. For instance it applies EVEN MORE to humanities and social sciences than it does to code math and physics. It literally can just synthesize across entire disciplines humans once thought were separate with no effort at all and wade through millennia of human debate collapsing entire categories with no need for academic turf wars, no skin in the game at all. Whats nuts is that LITERALLY ALL cognitive and intellectual labor can be done better and painlessly with machines now. And whats even more nuts about this is it makes ATTRACTIVENESS, HEIGHT, and SOCIAL SKILLS even much much MOAR important than they ever were, and then on top of this athleticism, musical ability (as in band-chads and rappers) will get more pussy than ever and nerds and intellectuals are now 100% obsolete and DONE HERE

It’s brutal for knowledge professions. Right now you need to have training to operate it effectively, not like someone with no knowledge of M&A can just suddenly become an effective deal lawyer (even just from a drafting standpoint). But the question is whether that will continue and to what extent anyone is going to be incentivized to spend years learning stuff when the only opportunity from it will be to largely cede control to AI’s omniscience but just help direct it. That’s a lot less appealing of a motion to human ego and ambition. If I were a young person I would be totally confused about which direction to take from a career perspective.

yes it must be so 180. there are literally unlimited "history insights" you can probe a good model into and no limit on how high iq you can make the theory, synthesis and reasoning behind it (other than your own IQ because you have to know what to probe, and the legibility to readers). But you can just optimize for prestige, pedigree and academic turf gaming and keep everything really chill and non-confrontational. focus on the finer things in life. also would be funny to lean into the bit hard and talk and post about how AI will totally never replace historians. what we do is so DEEPLY HUMAN

I do think about this and how one should now mentor/advise the children of the professional classes. The top 10% should be ok but the classic analyst-associate-consulting route is going to be brutally pawned for the rest.

By the way, passing through Brussels soon. Recommend any good smoking bars? Any still left?

The ability to refine prompting and QA agent outputs will always require domain expertise and a baseline of AI awareness (that will be at most minimally technical, somewhat akin to a median white collar professional grasping the basics of office networking in the 90s web design, infrastructure and terminology in the late 90s-mid 00s). The incremental improvements in prompting and outputs will massively increase in value as the revenue follows to those workflows and products, but so far it looks like that will be a slow process over the rest of our careers (like ecommerce proved to be during the first half of our careers) instead of an overnight shift like every douche bag chasing investor capital is pushing right now.

barely anyone is going to know how to handwrite code in like 1-2 generations. "programmers" are only useful in that you know they were at least smart enough to learn that.

Exactly. Machines are the new intelligence. Monkeys are cooked we might as well just go back to the jungle and sacrifice fruit to shamans and spend all day grooming and fucking each other. You think we were designed for higher thought? LOL no. That’s monkey cope.

Just grok. Once agentive minimal human intervention loops are fully functional and we are just at the edge — anthropic got one to write a reasonably good C compiler from scratch something that takes years and teams of humans and extreme documentation — we are so close to just having agent swarms do everything. No one is going to trust monkey generated code at that point

I think NVIDIA is still the core bottleneck of AI compute right now. But AWS and Azure probably have even stronger long-term investment potential because they sit at a higher layer of the value stack. They are obviously deeply entangled with NVIDIA but they are the ones who buy the GPUs, rent them out for profit and built the software, interfaces and AI products on top and monetize downstream through copilots, llm apps, search etc etc. They own the customer relationship, capture most layers of the value chain and could eventually swap out GPU suppliers. It is slower growth but feels like long term it will scale better. I would assume at this point that both cloud servers and AI and other forms of modularized outsourced cognition are here to stay. They feel like core technologies.

depends on what you are looking for. if you want broad exposure to US tech growth and diversification then qqq or spy. But AMXN?MSFT directly will give you concentrated upside on AI infra. MSFT has more AI leverage than AWS right now, both are high but MSFT has their partnership with open ai, and the foundry with more models available than bedrock. AWS has a larger global general cloud infrastructure. Azure has gone more directly in on AI

That question is becoming ill posed due to the consequences of scale, integration and representation learning. The model doesn't need literal access to all facts about the world. it already doesn't have direct access to its training data it has a lossy-compressed entangled map of statistical affordances that it uses to reconstruct pretty much anything. Once you compress and integrate across an instruction space that's orders of magnitude larger than any human lifetime, you have a situation where humans can think they are discovering "something new" and they go to the system and show it and it already can analyze it and talk about it as if its already been there because it exists in latent representation space.
