are oil refining is strongly tilted towards “heavy” oil, which both Venezuela and Canada mostly produce. oil is not all that fungible at the end of the day
Venezuela has more oil than SA, but they produce a tiny amount. bringing them back from 1mn to 3mn barrels a day and in our hemisphere would be big. getting to 5-8mn would shift power from OPEC to our backyard |
