EXAMPLE: to find that the second amendment establishes an individual right would have seemed absurd in Reagan's America. Not only libs would have balked. But when Roberts did it, libs didn't really say much. It didn't hurt

EXAMPLE: if you tried to overturn Roe v Wade in 2005 when Roberts was confirmed, you wouldn't have been able to do it. Libs would have lynched anyone who dared try. But when Roberts did, libs didn't feel it. They didn't really say or do much.

EXAMPLE: if you tried to overtrurn affirmative action in the 1980s, no one would have taken you seriously because no one thought it was a problem. Taking it away would have seemed like the most racist thing the Supreme Court could possibly do. But when Roberts did it, libs didn't get too inflamed. They were upset for about 48 hours, then affirmative action stayed dead

What if there was like this guy who spent all of his time from 1986 to 2016 moving the public’s opinions on these issues (takes puff from opium pipe)
