2. the equity is worthless
3. they’re probably committing fraud or something similar. their GC is either oblivious or more likely supporting this

The equity question is more about whether they're allocating against a dollar amount or on the basis of how much of the company you'd own. You're far enough down the ladder that it probably doesn't matter either way. But series A and B, a % based allocation is more the norm.
I would look at this solely as an opportunity to add major areas of responsibility and resume points quickly and then leave within about 2 years to be a CCO yourself for real CCO pay (low to mid 300s base, 40%+ bonus, meaningful equity, etc). Don't make this a long term pit stop or you'll regret it |
