America is the only country where people look down on his art because of his antics. I personally believe he was a full blown closeted homosexual who did very bad and inappropriate things to kids, although what exactly happened I don't think anyone knows. His behavior was disgusting and reprehensible and I think it all stemmed from being a closeted gay who played a straight guy in real life.
There is no other country where anyone gives a flying fuck that he was a pedo rapist. Another really odd aspect of how Americans deal with his legacy is that those who worship him in the US typically deny that he did anything wrong. Full blown head in the sand denial. So you have this weird cult of people who can't admit that he was a repressed homo who never slept with a woman in his entire life up to their chest in denial, and then you have these woke idiots who think that his behavior erases his entire legacy.
The truth is much more difficult to accept. He was a musical genius who changed the world and he should always be in the conversation of greatest talents of all time. And we should all have unapologetic carte blanche to enjoy everything he achieved without a shred of remorse. And at the same time we should all acknowledge that he probably raped kids and even if he didn't he was super inappropriate around them and his behavior was completely unacceptable. Anyone who denies either of these is delusional.
I actually personally know a closeted gay priest who is obviously a homo who loves men and he also lies to the entire world about it to advance his career. It's a really fucked up situation where everyone who knows him falls into the camp of either total delusion pretending he's straight, or they know he's gay and are really concerned about the ramifications of that, which are not good. It's painfully obvious to anyone sane that gay men cannot simply repress the urge to fuck other men, and when their entire life is a lie it's bad news. This is exactly what happened to Michael Jackson. He was basically a gay priest and he did the same thing gay priests do, he tried to have a sexual relationship with someone who was never going to talk about it and no one would ever know.
I say this all as someone who thinks MJ's music is amazing and I blast it every day 100% guilt free. Hth. |

I also think people are generally sick of the lies that his brothers and family have told. Like especially about how his children are biologically his which is easily falsifiable. His daughter is full blood European and his son is Hispanic, probably mixed with white. At any rate the lies really put people off and how they attacked LaToya for telling the truth that Michael was gay. I think Americans have a real problem with the lies and the reality distortion.
