This isn't the story, but it's my version of it: Shrew in love with "best friend" of so many years. Both single. Shrew manages to convince best friend to date as some sort of experiment. Shrew falls even more in love. Best friend bangs her over several weeks. Best friend then ATDs. Shrew is heart broken but experiment "taught her a lot about herself."
