The only good part about this was that Friday night was basically 100% safe, simply because they couldn't be around to monitor you. I had the following situation more than once:

I was doing the biglaw 10-whenever shit got done (around 7 usually) and was told 9-5, don't expect emails responded to after 5, yadda, don't come in late by their 9-5, but feel free to leave at 5 exactly. The elevators are like Penn Station at 5:01. It's so bizarre. Strangely, no Jews. Shockingly, all WASPy olds. I figured they were going to be the same, not.
