I take it daily for the past few years. I once did a cut without it and I lost a lot of strength and muscle. When I did a cut with creatine I maintained a lot better--I also cut a lot slower so that helped too. But now that Peterman mentions it I am losing my hair.

Does not increase dht. Also, dht=faster hair loss only if you are predisposed to hair loss.

one credible study strongly suggesting it increases dht.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19741313

RESULTS:

After 7 days of creatine loading, or a further 14 days of creatine maintenance dose, serum T levels did not change. However, levels of DHT increased by 56% after 7 days of creatine loading and remained 40% above baseline after 14 days maintenance (P < 0.001). The ratio of DHT:T also increased by 36% after 7 days creatine supplementation and remained elevated by 22% after the maintenance dose (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONS:

Creatine supplementation may, in part, act through an increased rate of conversion of T to DHT. Further investigation is warranted as a result of the high frequency of individuals using creatine supplementation and the long-term safety of alterations in circulating androgen composition.

also, basically all white guys are predisposed to some degree of hair loss except for like a tiny percentage of italians.

Supplements largely seem like BS. I've tried a good amount of them. Nothing really matters other than consistently sticking with ur diet & workouts. Maybe the only thing they help with is if you are going through the trouble to pay $$ to take this shit you are prob more likely to stay dedicated with your diet & working out.

I've used it plenty. None of it matters unless you have good consistent diet and workouts. That you might be 5% stronger and do heavier lifts if you do it all plus take supps and are dedicated doesn't really fucking matter unless you are doing it for competitive purposes

The waterweight is the biggest concern IMO. Can't get a legit cut with the creatine bloat, but I guess it doesn't matter until summer. Also, if your doing long cardio for your cut creatine can hurt you. You have to stay extremely hydrated or the creatine in your muscles will sap water from your joints and ligaments

Also like all supplements (besides protein), you should cycle it. You can do it for longer than people say though. I usually do a 90 day cycle and one month detox. Also you should be loading your creatine at the begining of the cycle and taking it daily thereafter. It works best when your muscles are completely saturated
