His resume is pretty solid for white collar defense attorney. That being said, I wouldn't trust a 70+ old-timer from a tiny firm. The case is similar to a commercial litigation (lots of e-discovery; battlefield over the limits of discovery; case turning on precise interpretation of statements and need for witnesses/defense to be extremely careful in their language; heavy on the motion work and research). These old-timers have a shit ton of trial experience but are not as well suited to modern litigation.
