wife punched and slapped me repeatedly after i came to bed late

Date: March 27th, 2018 1:48 PM Author: Bat Shit Crazy Misunderstood Hell she had a big professional exam the next morning, and wanted to get to bed at 9:00 p.m. I told her I had some work to finish up and will be in bed by 10:00 p.m. I lost track of time and went to bed at 11:00 p.m., went to the bathroom for a bit which woke her up. She got pissed, started punching my arm while cursing me out, and then spent the next half hour cursing at me and repeated punching or slapping my face, with full force.
She's not that strong so there's not that damage, but there is some bruising around the corner of my eye this morning.
this is not the first time she's punched me, but this is by far the most violent. In the past it's been a slap on the face or a couple of punches or kicks, for similar infractions.
but obviously this time it's not just about coming to bed late - last week she was checking my phone and saw that I was talking to a girl I had met through work, and she was going through a tough relationship and really liked me, and texted me some pretty riske pictures. I then invited her to meet up with me when I go to an out of town work trip.
Obviously we got into a huge fight about that last week, but she said she wanted to give me another chance, which basically consists of me not arguing or talking back to her about anything, ever, and not letting my mother, whom she hates, ever see our infant daughter.
If we didn't have a kid, I'd definitely walk out, but I decided to stick it out b/c I don't want my daughter to be in a broken home.
But the recent bout of violence really shook me and I'm not sure if I should stick around or not. I don't really have anyone to talk to about this, since it's pretty embarrassing. |
