Booked trip to Paris---need a little advice

Saturday to Following Sunday---week of Thanksgiving.
Staying very near the Passy Metro in the 16th ARR.
Friends/Colleagues have told me to go to London or some other city. 8 days is too long they say.
Looking at just the tourist stuff (Louvre/ND/Orsay/Arc de Triomphe/Sac ocreu/ eiffel etc) it looks like there is a shit ton to do?
Also, I want to spend some time sitting in a cafe, drinking, reading a book and then just getting lost in Montremarte or the Left Bank or whatever.
Am I dumb to spend the entire week in just Paris? (furthest I think I will venture is Versailles) |

Versailles is only 40ish minutes from the city Center and worth a full day to go explore.
