Not as bad as other hondas in this respect but definitely noticable to someone accustomed to Toyota/lexus. The CVT implementation is the best I've encountered on a non-hybrid. However it is buzzy as fuck when you accelerate at highway spends a lot of time doing what feels like hunting for a gear between 60 and 80mph. Handling and braking are surprisingly good. Otherwise its a a flip of a coin between it and the CX-5. The CX-5 has less cargo space (like 10%) but its got real gears and better handling so pick your poison. You have to pay thousands more for the upgraded trim to get a comfortable armrest, and that one has the bigger wheels which I don't like. Rear seat is also not very spacious and mine gets a lot of use.
The mileage numbers are pure flame too. I drove like an old lady for 3 days and got 23mpg. |
