But some people really need opiates to have a decent quality of life.
My mother has degenerative arthritis in her right knee (the cartilage in her kneecap ia basically entirely gone and the two bones rib together). She would be immobile (and suffer greatly) if she didnt have access to opiates. She needs to have a knee replacement (she already had one on her left knee and her hip) but she can't right know because of some heart issues. So yeah its not that simple as just sucking it up and being tough or whatever. |
