and it's not in writing, so it's your memory (which you know is correct because you told someone else that something at the time and they corroborate) vs. theirs, and they're like "well, unfortunately you misunderstood.....it's due THIS week."

and tbf, it's not even them acting alone. it's pressure from THEIR manager asking what's going on and they're too chicken shit to just admit they fucked up and miscommunicated to you.

I worked a job once where it seemed like everyone around me was a woman and were all pretty hopeless. there was very little consistency and a frustrating amount of confusion. it was IMPOSSIBLE to get them to commit to a position on anything when pressed.
