From an internal Google discussion, where a member of their "Trust & Safety" team said the following:
"The bar for changing classifiers or manual actions on span in organic search is extremely high. However, the bar for things we let our Google Assistant say out loud might be a lot lower. If I search for “Jews run the banks” – I’ll likely find anti-semitic stuff in organic search. As a Jew, I might find some of these results offensive, but they are there for people to research and view, and I understand that this is not a reflection of Google feels about this issue. But if I ask Google assistant “Why do Jews run the banks” we wouldn’t be similarly accepting if it repeated and promoted conspiracy theories that likely pop up in organic search in her smoothing voice."

Guess you didn't read far enough:
However, in the leaked discussion thread, a member of Google’s “trust & safety” team, Daniel Aaronson, admitted that the company maintains “huge teams” that work to adjust search results for subjects that are “prone to hyperbolic content, misleading information, and offensive content” – all subjective terms that are frequently used to suppress right-leaning sources.
He also admitted that the interventions weren’t confined to YouTube – they included search results delivered via Google Assistant, Google Home, and in rare cases Google’s organic search results.

The testimony was limited to search. The article discusses search on YouTube, but YouTube is a sibling to Google (not, as the article suggests, owned by Google).
Both are owned by Alphabet, whose CEO is Larry Page. If Larry Page said that no Alphabet companies do this, that would seem to be untruthful.
I don't see anything in the article that says Google CEO Sundar Pichai would even know how YouTube does search internally. YouTube is run by CEO Susan Wojcicki.
If Breitbart could substantiate the one-off comment, "in rare cases Google's organic search results," that would be enough for me to think Pichai should be fired (if not worse). Until then, I remain skeptical.

If you read the quoted post from Daniel Aaronson, he discusses "proactive" and "reactive" manipulation of search results - across all Google platforms and not just YouTube.
It's true that he suggests manipulation is limited on "organic search" as compared to YouTube or Google Assistant. But he is admitting it exists. In fact, he says: "The bar for changing classifiers or manual actions on span in organic search is extremely high."
That alone contradicts Pichai's sworn testimony.

Did you read the leaked evidence from the Breitbart article?
Please don't act intentionally obtuse by making statements like: "I think Pichai should be subject to questioning about whether there's any process in place to ensure classifier modifications are viewpoint neutral."
Consider the following:
1. A Google employee in the discussion thread drew attention to Pichai’s claim, noting that it “seems like we are pretty eager to cater our search results to the social and political agenda of left-wing journalists.”
(this is for YouTube)
2. Breitbart News previously reported on leaked emails revealing the company targeted pro-Democrat demographics in its get-out-the-vote efforts in 2016.
3. In 2018, Breitbart News exclusively published a leaked video from the company that showed senior management in dismay at Trump’s election victory, and pledging to use the company’s power to make his populist movement a “hiccup” in history.
4. Pichai lied under oath to Congress and the only reason it's even possible for him to face follow-on questioning is because a conservative Google employee leaked confidential internal discussions to Breitbart.
5. You have admitted that Google manipulates its search results.
Now, with the above in mind, it is easy to infer that, at least some of the manipulation Google conducts is to suppress Trump/conservatives. There is no need for follow-up questioning where Pichai will simply lie again. Come on man.
