Do regular Republicans really give a shit about estate taxes? If so, why?

I don't hear much bitching about the taxation of treasure troves, and for taxation purposes I'm hard pressed to distinguish unearned treasure troves from unearned inheritances. |

The death tax, among other things, disincentivizes people from building wealth in the first place, which is bad for the economy.
Treasure trove can easily be distinguished, as by definition the people burying treasure trove are not attempting to pass it on to anyone else, they are simply hiding it from invaders. |
