Anywhere you go out, fast food, fast casual or any kind of take out is likely a caloric bomb. Look at the calorie counts on menus at fast casual spots like Olive Garden or TGI Fridays - one dish can be 1200, 1300, 1400 calories. Nearly an entire days worth of caloric need.
If you're a thinmo and don't exercise and eat junk food, you must be making up for it somewhere. Either you eat the junk sparingly (which is fine) or you're expending a lot of calories in some way, because weight gain has nothing to do with anything other than calories in/calories out, except in extremely rare circumstances. |

But then the quality of food changed, processed food and convenience took over, sedentary lifestyles due to technology and automation increasing, extreme abundance of food. You're starting to see obesity in third world countries now, and heart disease in countries where people literally never got atherosclerosis.
