not too shabby. slayer not headlining their day is blasphemous. i think it would take a lot for me to put up with the camping bullshit though. not a fan of this trend.
looks like a lot of those bands are on the summer festival circuit.
the prices seems pretty reasonable compared to what i'm paying for shows this summer.

update - it was 180, although standing on my feet for literally 9 hours a day without sitting down took a toll me on, I'm beat up today. Also it was in the 30s saturday night and I wasn't quite dressed appropriately. That said, it was awesome.
Missed Anthrax, saw Black Label Society (I've seen Zakk play probably 8 times but never with BLS, they were great), Slayer (which was 180000000), and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Next day was Dead Sara (the chick was an amazing singer), WhiteChapel (very good, had never heard of them before), Gojira, Ghost (why do people like this band so much? Like my entire crew loved them and I don't get it - too fruity for me), ZZ Top (been a while since I saw them, they were great and had a huge crowd for being one of the smaller stages), and 45 minutes of Def Leppard (had to leave because everyone was too tired and cold, but I was enjoying it). Final day I saw Lamb of God (always great), Deftones, and skipped Ministry to get up close for Guns N Roses. GNR was great, although in the first part of the show Axl wasn't hitting high notes very well, he seemed to get better during the show though.

I know what you mean about being on your feet for so many hours. And if you're in the thick of things with moshing or crowdsurfers bombarding you, it's a full-on assault.
Glad you saw Gojira. I think they're one of - if not THE - best live metal bands going right now.
I saw the announcement that Metallica are playing 5 festivals next year, 2 shows at each. the metal festival that's been going here for 3 years and run by the same dude who puts on the other ones isn't on the list. So that makes me think it's dead.
