Catholicism also got wrapped up with a lot of syncretic pagan stuff like saint worship, icons and the Marian cult. All this stuff is difficult if not impossible to accept if you are a religious Jew.

Some early types of Christianity didn't have the concept of the Trinity and I think some also didn't even think that Jesus was divine but was just another prophet who was spreading the correct message. Obviously these forms died out or went extinct due to institutional persecution once the church was subsumed into the Roman government.

If you Take Judaism-Christianity-Islam as all a connected religious narrative, it actually makes enormous sense why Islam was revealed and the Quran discusses the issues with the Jews and Christians (i.e it rejects the Trinity concept but affirms Jesus as being a prophet sent by God to refresh the peoples belief and understanding of Abraham's religion after the Jews altered and changed their text over time)

The emphasis on textual standardization and incorruptibility in the Quran also corroborates this and it is no coincidence. The Torah as we possess it is believed to come from I think 4 different sources, in addition to a large amount of Genesis coming from a Babylonian creation myth (this obviously is due to the Babylonian captivity which also gave birth to the modern Hebrew letter system and was also the creation point of the Pharisees/scribes who adopted Babylonian temple management and usury models). The Gospels are likewise full of alterations and manipulations as well as additions and deletions, and were only codified in the 4th century I think - yet again showing human alteration of the Divine message and necessitating a correction/perfection of the message after Jesus and the community of faithful Israelite's fell and backslid. It is also worth noting that Muhammad's grandmother was Jewish and thus he was technically a Jewish Arab himself and thus a descendant of Ishmael and Isaac and ultimately Abraham.

What makes Catholicism problematic to (((them))) is that due to the emphasis on statues, beads, stained glass idols, and praying to Saints (particularly Mary), enables the more primitive forms of Goyim to be able to achieve a level of connection with God that would be extremely difficult for them otherwise.

bit correct, the premise IME is kinda correct.

since most of the jews i know are other lawyers this explanation might be skewed but i think a lot of it is catholics were a lot more of an ethnic clique back when current boomer jews were younger and perceived as self-protective and not so willing to hire jews. so jews flocked to each other. also in a bygone era catholics were yugely powerful in democratic politics and so theres probably some natural competition there in terms of controlling the direction of the party
