So you have to figure out if it is worth it to pay for a $400,000 sprayer that is going to save you 6% on fertilzer cost, etc - all of this is going to be land and crop dependent so its not like you can just google it.
Also, tons of money going into securities and insurance to protect you storms or droughts.
That's why I its horeshit when people talk about our "family farmers" or whatever. It's agribusiness, and its highly sophisticated and highly lucrative. |
