No in. Poor kid with no connections - first generation to go to high school even. BS and MS engineering degrees from MIT. 800 LSAT (like 180 today), one sitting no prep (but they don't know that), decent GPA (3.6) before grade inflation set it, some nice work experience in the environmental area. I only applied to only one other school - a TTT evening program. The dean there told me I should go someplace else, so I asked him if he thought I could get into Harvard. He gave me the standard xo reply, "You'll get in everywhere you apply." I didn't really believe him because I worked with a bunch of people who all wanted to go to LS and they spent mega hours talking about how impossible admissions were. Got into HLS pretty quickly. They had and think they still do have rolling admissions. Applied in November (?) and was admitted before the end of the year. Got some scholarship, but tuition was only something like $2300. I picked Harvard because I knew and liked Boston, thought my odds were better getting into a big school, it was possibly the cheapest private LS at the time, and thought the H-bomb brand might confer some advantages upon humble self. Liked law school, though I was not a hard worker. Had a wife and kid and part time job and did not want to be an absentee spouse/father. Did not like law practice. Much of the story in chronicled in the xo archives.

I can't think of anyone from either undergrad or LS who is a household name. Plenty of very accomplished people, though. I-banking chairs, big time university Presidents, etc. I would have to spend hours rummaging through alumni news postings to answer that. I never hung out with anybody likely to be famous. Maybe James Woods from MIT is most famous. I was in some classes with him, including, ironically, a drama class. He didn't graduate, though. Got an acting offer, and left either during or before senior year and never looked back. Our drama instructor was pretty well hooked up, so maybe that's how Jim got his start.

Wait a minute, I was going to say that you probably got recruited for basketball since you've done everything else under the sun and you're sons are Tall, but I recall that your sub-6`00`` stature kept you out of CEO roles (and was a driver of you becoming woke on the phenotype pill). Questions:
1. Why not install one of your sons as CEO. Before you say it, it worked with Bush 43 so don't say it's impossible.
2. Why is your son 6`6``. Were you stunted by dust bowl depression era upbringing? Is your wife over 6`00``?
3. Did your wife hang out with any Tall mentally ill bros around the time your son(s) were conceived? Were you working a lot? j/w.
