but u can see 2005 this year the average median LSAT is almost the same, although schools are different.

besides, each school like to accept students who get high LSAT

I believe that

is better for u to apply top 25

I know it's splitting hairs here, but if you factor the 2004 rankings into the matrix, with UCLA as #16, and USC as #18, you'll find that UCLA edges out USC overall by a few fractions of a point, to assume the "definitive" #17 position. Factoring in Vanderbilt's 2004 ranking (#17) also closes the gap between Vandy and UCLA for the "definitive" #16 position.

That's because in the years not listed, the school was not in the Top 25. So basically, assume that it's average is lower than listed.

There was also no ranking in 1988 and 1989, for anyone who was wondering.

I like how the year that Texas was ranked 29 (1998) is left out of the average. If we're going to start picking and choosing what ranks we want to include, you can't use the 1998 ranks for the others schools' averages. Maybe we should leave out the year Harvard was ranked 5 as well?

The way I would do it would be to average the rank in cases of ties and also to give the most generous possible rank in years when a school is not in the "Top Whatever," ie unranked - noted in parentheses below.

1987 was the Top 20. That's why Vandy has a (21) in parentheses for that year. Rather imprecise, but what other options are there? (<Not a rhetorical question). If we assume Vandy is at 22, that would drop its average below Texas', so the generous assumption is significant. Or since the 1987 rankings are so substantially different from the rest, we could just lose them.

We could just limit it to the schools which have made an appearance in every edition, but I think a lot of people would not be too happy with that.
