In my defense I was a teenager.
Second time I was a lot more in control of myself. It was very bittersweet but no regrets. Irreconcilable differences but we're still close friends and that's the best place for us. Third time will be the charm. |

However, there have also been a small handful of women who rejected me that seemed well-adjusted that I *think* I could have had that type of love with. Perhaps that was indeed true, and these women self-sorted and rejected me because they *were* well-adjusted and therefore sensed something wrong with me. Thus the hypothesis was never tested. It is also equally possible that these women were mentally ill and I just wasn't able to come to that determination yet with the limited information given. |

love requires much deeper knowledge of the other person and understanding of the depth of their character. The time frame is a function of all of the things you raise. Another factor is whether the couple knew each other before beginning to date. The beginning transition from infatuation to love could happen in a month if the couple was spending all of their time together. Typically it takes longer than that for most couples but the mentally ill operate on shorter timeframes. |
