When I first began visiting autoadmit, I was struck by the intelligence of its posters. As someone that was interested in the liberal arts, I was immediately grabbed by the dense intellectual discussions and the 4 dimensional characters that posted here. I think I was bred to be a poster.

While I still see flashes of that energy occasionally, today XO is a mere shadow of what it was even five years ago. Many great posters have left - you can wake up in the morning now and see threads on the front page that were bumped as late as yesterday evening.

In addition the site barely runs. Constant DDOSing has taken its toll as even more posters have abandoned this site. Disaster for a site already losing users.

In my opinion, the site is dead already. I'm not particularly interested in engaging in what amounts to a college group chat that gets smaller and smaller as more of your friends drop out or die.

There are ways to save this place, but they probably will involve changing the core of what this place is. Reopening registration could work if you fixed the DDOSing problem. Migration to another site could also work, although I imagine you would bleed even more users doing that.

All that to say; Drake leaving is a bit of a final straw for me. Once the big dogs leave, there's basically nothing stopping this place from becoming an endless barking session between TBF and EPAH. Which is pretty 180 I must admit, but I'm happy to just watch that from afar.
