Thoughts on doing this? If I switch from overnight 7on/14off to 2pm-11pm it wouldn't be ifficult physically but I will not interact with anyone during those 14 days. I.e. have a coffee in the morning, go for a swim, and go to sleep. But physically acceptable. And salary would be higher. Maybe could retire in 10 years. And could still take my 2week vacations

What does it mean 0 off? I just worked recently 7nights, then 10 evenings 2pm-11pm in a row just to see what's it like. So it's obvious 14days in a row is tough even if no problems with sleep. Just the amount of work is tough.

it means I work every day of the year and don't take days off. I haven't had a day off in nearly one month. I'm planning on taking about two weeks for a vacation next month, though.

I could do it from home. But I currently work 7nights/14off and produce the same amount of work as most people who do 42weeks and take their 10weeks off. With this I would produce 50% more work. So high stress.

Alternative is do 7on/14off at 30% higher pay. But that job also assumes crazy workload that I don't know ow if I could handle it. I could switch between 1am-10am and 9pm-6am or just do 1am-10am each time if I think I could just go to sleep at 7pm.. don't know if I could actually handle that job. It's less work overall than 14on/14off but more work and inconvenient hours. I suspect it's easier to go ti sleep at 10am rather than 7pm.

You gotta tell us what you do for work for the feedback to be accurate or useful

Understandable if you don't want to though. But if you can say physical vs mental labor that will clarify things a lot too

Purely mental. And the volume of work that I do now over 10hour*122 night shifts is typical to what most people do over 220 day shifts. I can switch to 9*122 where I would produce even more over shorter time(and get paid more) or do 14on/14off where I will produce more due to working 50% more.

Why? I know that 7on/7off is bad, but this way u get 2weeks off. I do think about 7on/14off but the work is even more intense and when shifts are 1am-10am I would probable have to go to sleep after 10am rather than at 7pm. But I am leaning towards that now, just because fewer shifts.
