Date: April 13th, 2024 4:43 PM Author: irradiated mauve hospital regret Message I find it hard to believe there would be any worthwhile "exclusives" on PS6 if they're barely committing to PS5 at this point, and when Titles like FF7R2 and Demon's Souls underperform sales-wise.
Furthermore, it seems like Xbox barely provides any competition. Series X sells ruinously (fewer sales LTD than Saturn; most sales are Series S). Xbox isn't going to be pushing the envelope when they can't even get 10m people to buy true next-gen hardware in 3 years. Even if they come out with some godlike hardware and sell it at a loss, it won't matter because for some reason (marketing, PR, making The Same Games over and over again, being afraid to have true exclusives), it will sell ruinously. tl;dr, Xbox's lack of competition means that Sony can chill and support PS5 ad infinitum, and probably will.
