there is a game people play now where they tune into npr and clock how long it takes until race, gender, woke dribble, etc. is mentioned. you can't go more than a minute. it's just overwhelming.

during covid i moved a bit and borrowed a friend's old truck several times, which only had am/fm radio. tried tuning into npr a couple times for old times sake. it's just out of control. i hate listened to a whole piece on how female heads of state were outperforming men in dealing with the pandemic, and got about halfway through the next segment about how the pandemic is disproportionately impacting black and brown bodies.
