However, it all ends up on the inside sandbar where like 4 people have died because when the waves kinda fizzle you still have massive walls of water heading towards the inside bank and due to the point of land next to the beach, and the unique geometry of the bottom there that makes those wedges, basically all the energy gets focused on the inside sandbar on the beach.
People get absolutely destroyed in there and there's so much water moving that you can't really get in or out, you just get stuck taking massive walls of white water on the head.
Numerous ppl have drowned despite being excellent open ocean watermen with flotation. |
