And the quotemo above is right -- except for maybe 5 big days a year, the waves at Waikiki are slow and long, where nothing bad happens if you wipe out. |

I grew up in a SoCal beach community and lots of people both surf and body board, some beaches are just better for body boarding anyways (beaches with major shore break). And at many beaches on some days the waves aren’t good enough for surfing but you can still body board decently. |
