I was excited by the next item that would come up. I wanted to participate. It felt like a community. I bid over 2 days. Then stopped. I ended up winning about 240 different lots from four sellers. I have received about 100 of those lots in the mail. 2 sellers have been great. What they sent was as represented. Marked and corresponded to the packing slip. It was easy to match everything up to what was bought more or less. Great experience. Personally, I bought too much crap, but I can’t complain about the Sellers. Then there was this third Seller. He really got me hooked. Total scam artist. Started receiving those and they simply aren’t what was auctioned, nothing is marked, it’s all a clusterfuck. I have been duped. I have been defrauded. I am pissed. |

These Morgan Dollars are real faggots in the coin collecting world because e eye on likes them and they’re a mountain of unc ones out there because they mostly sat in bank vaults for 70 years and never circulated. But that all being said, if you don’t know what you’re doing in the Morgan dollar world they’ll take your shirt in a heartbeat. |

There's really cool stuff out there that's objectively rare (and affordable), but not in modern coinage... and certainly not in US coinage. Buy a few type examples and move on. |

I recently picked up a unique 15th century variety pedigreed to the mid-1800s (auction catalogs & primary references) for $558.
For your next purchase, buy a book or two and learn about what's out there. After a while, you'll look back at US coins -- and their price tags -- and just laugh. |

Unfortunately, this isn't limited to dollars or US coinage. IT plagues the taler market and is common to minors as well.
Lots of nice bust & seated examples are out there, but they're likely going to be slabbed & at an auction house like Heritage or Stack's. They're better than spending money on common Morgans, but the price is too high for me personally. |
