Wife was making taco Tuesday tacos and smashed up some black beans and warmed them up. I’d be okay with that except:
1. My wife FORGOT to put a cup of dried black beans in water this morning so she ended up using a can of black beans which is easily 10x the cost.
2. Instead of using the one 27oz can in the pantry she chose to use a 15oz can and HALF of the 27oz can as if canned black beans literally go on trees and have a cost of zero. The other half of the can will be thrown away unless she plans to do beans for breakfast.
I am livid. This is how my family repays all my sacrifice and self-shouldered shame! Jesus H Christ.
This is how you have a $1,200 grocer bill each month folks.

Bro you're thinking about this all wrong.
1) No amount of penny-pinching is worth causing familial discord.
2) Suppose the wife used canned beans for every bean-involved meal for the next 5 years. What would that actually wind up costing you, and how does that compare to other line items? I'm not saying don't save where you can - but I'm pretty sure even BALLIN on beans would be a rounding error for your overall budget situation
