Gibt's dazu Zahlen, oder ist das ein bloßes Empfinden? Die gefühlte Sicherheit hat oft nichts mit der tatsächlichen zu tun. Die Lösung für das Problem hängt aber davon ab, ob das ein Problem mit Gewalt ist oder ein Problem mit der Wahrnehmung.

Right now the center-right CDU looks certain to win in 2025, likely with Friedrich Merz as Chancellor. But Americans would regard the level of disagreement between the CDU and the current ruling coalition (the other three parties listed above) as tiny. For example, a big issue now is whether the welfare payments (Bürgergeld, formerly Hartz IV) is too high relative to the minimum wage. The CDU says it is, but if they win, they would probably only reduce it by like 10 percent or something. The huge structure of German socialism would remain unchanged, and the Germans want it that way.

The main effect of the AfD is on forcing the other parties with power to react. For example, when the AfD poll numbers started going up the mainstream parties almost instantly and unanimously moved in a slightly more anti-immigrant direction.
