Why so many feral blacks in Nor Cal?

What explains this phenomenon of black people still dominating the Bay Area in 2024? |

Date: April 26th, 2024 11:27 AM Author: Marvelous Buff Gaming Laptop I think the Bay Area had a larger and older black population than SoCal because of the Great Migration - during the 1930’s and 40’s a huge amount of black people came up from the south to work in the shipyards and other heavy industries and also bought property in the area - a lot of those homes remained in the families for a long time and prevented them from being pushed out /allowed them to form a political base.
Obviously in the past 30 years this has been changing - but a lot of that is actually caused by black politicians who aren’t even from the Bay Area originally coming in and taking advantage of black voters and selling them out. In SF more black families lost their homes because of Willie Brown and his machine than you would believe, their land was stripped from them through various methods and sold to developers or gentrifiers. This is also by a city government that is controlled in no small part by black people - it’s a shame. The black population votes for blacks as a block, often against their own interests.
In Oakland it was more a combination of major changes in the US economy removing a lot of factories and auto plants - especially in East Oakland, and what was left over the Great Society programs and Crack Epidemic took care of.
One of my friends from the East Bay who is black with a long family history in the area actually said the black people were way better off when segregation was enforced because they had more money circulating in their own community and had their own businesses - it started to change a lot in the 50’s-70’s because of desegregation but also big projects like BART in Oakland being laid right on top of the black business districts.
