here's a case where four 'teens' carjacked an azn grandma in suburban seattle and ran from the cops nearly all the way to portland:

Teens arrested after cross-state carjacking spree from Bellevue to Washington border

Four juveniles were arrested Friday evening following a carjacking that began in Bellevue and spanned to Washington State’s southern border.

The Bellevue Police Department (BPD) said the carjacking started close to 7 p.m. on Friday when BPD officers responded to reports of a carjacking involving a gun near 10000 Northeast 13th Place in Bellevue.

Officers said the four teen suspects, a 14-year-old, 15-year-old, 16-year-old, and a 17-year-old followed the victim in a white Hyundai Elantra to the victim’s residential neighborhood before exiting the vehicle and holding the victim at gunpoint. Following a brief exchange, the suspects then stole the victim’s black BMW X5 vehicle along with their purse, shopping merchandise, potted plants, an Apple iPad, two tabletop baby seats, and three car seats.

“The victim said she was very worried, she is a grandmother and did not see this coming she told officers that she didn’t see things suspicious or out of place," said Drew Anderson, PIO for BPD.

The stolen Hyundai was quickly found abandoned by officers near the scene of the carjacking. It was there where most of the victim’s belongings were found and left behind.

BPD said they continued the investigation of the carjacking when they were contacted by officers with the Tumwater Police Department who reported receiving a call involving suspects matching the earlier carjacking and suspicious individuals dumping items involved with the Bellevue incident near a dumpster in the city limits.

A Thurston County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) deputy saw the vehicle traveling approximately 130 mph down Southbound I-5. Authorities said that when the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects refused to pull over.

Since possession of a stolen vehicle isn’t a pursuable offense, TCSO terminated the traffic stop and the vehicle kept going.

Officers said at around 9 p.m. that evening, members of the Joint Base Lewis-McChord notified the BPD about the suspects attempting to enter the base along its entrance at 41 Street near Exit 120 on Interstate 5.

It was at this time that the Washington State Patrol (WSP) joined the case where officers followed the vehicle southbound I-5 to the City of Vancouver. The WSP stopped the vehicle at 9:20 p.m. along I-5 near Exit 14 and arrested all four suspects during that time.

Bellevue officers said they took all four of the suspects into custody at the WSP’s Chehalis Office and they were booked at the BPD for first-degree robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle. The stolen BMW was towed and secured at the Department’s garage for further investigation.

"This is a safe community but crime does happen so stay vigilant," said Anderson.

BPD asks residents to stay aware while conducting errands or commuting around the city, and if something suspicious is seen then immediately contact the BPD for assistance.

by the way, the current washington attorney-general who has allowed the state's murder rate to more than double since the late-2010's (and whose cockamamie 'reforms' have provoked the youth carjacking epidemic) is the presumptive next governor of the state, lol.
