First best friend was Jewish, first girl I ever had a crush on was Jewish, first girl I kissed was Jewish, first set of tits I touched was Jewish. I went to Catholic school starting in high school, but it was very helpful in college and beyond to have a lot of comfort with Jews and their neuroses, clannishness, sense of humor, etc. Today I have Jewish in-laws (well, ex-in-laws ie my sister in law’s ex) and about 25% of my closest friends from college and law school are Jews. I’ve had Jewish connections work in my favor and get me at least one job I likely would not have gotten but for Jewish friends who hooked me up. That being said, I’ve learned first hand that working for Jewish boomers is a bad idea for any non-Jew and probably a large percentage of Jews as well. Of my Jewish friends I would say 2/3rds-3/4ths are openly anti-Netanyahu and some of the loudest critics I know of the IDF, for years prior to Oct 7 and especially since. The others who I am assuming are pro-IDF are very quiet about it, and my sense is that they just grew up with a lot of brainwashing about Israel and can’t fully get past it, but they don’t like to think too hard about it/Gaza/West Bank settlements or anything related. In general I also notice a trend that the dumber a Jew is and the richer their parents are the more likely they are to be pro-IDF NPCs. And I thank God regularly that I didn’t marry the Jewish girl I dated at the end of college, because I probably would have murder-suicided out of that marriage before age 30.
