He has apparently never considered any of the big questions, such as how does one define The Good, how society can arrive at a workable moral standard, the difference between objective and subjective moral beliefs/systems, whether or not an objective moral standard is necessary for society, whether or not individuals/groups can have irreconcilable differences, and more. It was kooky to listen to him, the richest and arguably most influential person in the world, so confidently spout off about this stuff with the depth of understanding of an early 20s college student

Also, if you are very bright and on the spectrum, most of these questions over morality and the good are irrelevant so you don't spend time pondering them. That is not who Musk is. He probably finds most people stupidly weird and puzzling in their inability to meaningfully accomplish things and/or get too easily distracted by what he must think of as fake morality to justify their existence in an uncaring world.

I do agree that it appears that Musk personally is just not "attuned" to this subject matter, and that's why he has never confronted it. Probably because he is so aspie. Other high IQ aspies I've known have been similar, but not all of them, and not myself. He's in his mid 50s I believe and if he hasn't already considered these questions he never will
